The Eastern Michigan University women's track & field and cross country teams, as well as the men's cross country team, volunteered at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund walk Sunday, Oct. 4, at Hudson Mills Metropark. Both teams were present at the event from 6:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., and helped in a multitude of ways. Overall, the event raised $815,099.29 to assist with the fight against type 1 diabetes.
